A former employee of Sean “Diddy” Combs testified in court Thursday, accusing the music mogul of repeated sexual assaults and physical abuse during her employment from 2009 to 2017.
Testifying under the pseudonym “Mia,” the woman described working as Combs’ personal assistant and later executive. Her identity was confirmed privately to the jury.
Mia said her job was intense and poorly paid, and that she sometimes worked for days without sleep, using Adderall to stay awake. She described Combs’ behavior as “chaotic” and “toxic.”
In emotional testimony, Mia alleged that Combs sexually assaulted her multiple times. She said he once climbed on top of her while she was sleeping, raped her, and told her not to resist. In another instance, he allegedly forced her to perform oral sex. “I felt like trash,” she said, adding she feared saying no would lead to violence. “I didn’t want to die.”
Mia also described witnessing violence between Combs and his then-girlfriend, singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. She said she saw Combs physically attack Ventura multiple times, including slamming her head into furniture and causing visible injuries. During one incident, Mia and a stylist tried to intervene and were also attacked.
Combs allegedly controlled Ventura’s life, including her appearance, music, and finances. Mia said he would take away her possessions when upset.
Additional claims included being suspended without pay for minor infractions, being hit with a laptop, and being forced to take ketamine at a party. In one incident, Combs allegedly threw spaghetti at Mia when she paused to change her tampon before running an errand late at night.
Mia’s account supports federal racketeering charges against Combs. Prosecutors allege he ran a criminal enterprise for decades, using employees to commit and conceal crimes. While Mia is not part of the sex trafficking charges, her claims of forced labor and abuse are central to the case.
If convicted, Combs could face life in prison.
