Hip-hop duo Clipse, made up of brothers Pusha T and Malice, will release their new album Let God Sort Em Out on July 11. The project marks their official return to music after more than a decade.
The album is produced by longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams. Visual artist Kaws designed the album’s artwork. The release will be distributed in partnership with Roc Nation. The first single, Ace Trumpets, will drop at midnight ET tonight.
Clipse has a long history with Pharrell and The Neptunes, beginning with their 1999 debut Exclusive Audio Footage. They worked together on the group’s most well-known albums, including Lord Willin’, Hell Hath No Fury, and Til the Casket Drops.
After their 2009 release, Pusha T and Malice pursued solo careers. Pusha T released four solo albums, with his most recent being 2022’s It’s Almost Dry. Malice, who also goes by No Malice, released Hear Ye Him in 2013 and Let the Dead Bury the Dead in 2017.
Though Clipse has not released a full album since 2009, the duo reunited for several guest appearances, such as on Kanye West’s Use This Gospel. They also performed together at major music festivals including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Something in the Water, and Camp Flog Gnaw.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the brothers shared their excitement about the new project. “Pharrell says, ‘We gonna keep going!’” said Pusha T. “Pharrell calls with that energy every morning. ‘I was listening to the album in the truck last night. I’m going to try some new stuff tomorrow.’ I’m like, ‘Come on, bro. Get the mix done with this one.’”
Clipse says this album is just the beginning of their next chapter.
