Rihanna is expecting her third child with A$AP Rocky, revealing her baby bump ahead of the 2024 Met Gala. The announcement came as she arrived at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City, just before the gala, where Rocky, one of the event’s co-chairs, made his entrance shortly after.
This marks the couple’s third child. Rihanna previously confirmed her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl halftime performance in 2023, where she cradled her midsection, sparking speculation. A representative later confirmed the news, and in August of that year, Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their second son, Riot. The couple’s first child, RZA, was born in May 2022.
In an April 2024 interview with Interview magazine, Rihanna hinted at expanding her family further, saying, “As many as God wants me to have. I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl, but of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
Beyond family life, Rihanna is set to voice Smurfette in the upcoming animated Smurfs movie, scheduled for release on July 18. Meanwhile, Rocky is preparing to release his fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, later this year, and will also star in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, hitting theaters on August 22.
The couple has been through a challenging period as well, with Rihanna supporting Rocky during his felony trial in Los Angeles. Rocky faced assault charges in connection with a 2021 shooting outside the W Hotel in Hollywood. After a three-week trial, he was found not guilty on all counts, celebrating with his family, including Rihanna, who joined him in court.
