Sean “Diddy” Combs characterized his sexual interests as “voyeurism” and “escapism.” But during his criminal trial, one of his ex-girlfriends, testifying under the name “Jane,” offered a different term: “cuck.”
Jane testified Tuesday that she started researching Combs’ sexual fetishes to understand their relationship better. She found the words “cuck” and “cuckold” and said, “This is spot on.” She explained that a “cuck” gains pleasure by watching his partner enjoy sex with another man.
Under cross-examination by Combs’ attorney, Teny Geragos, Jane defined “cuck” as “a cuck derives pleasure seeing his woman derive pleasure from another man.” She added, “Cucks could also have a bi-curiosity that they are too ashamed to experience themselves. So they use the woman to venture out in this curiosity without actually doing the act itself.”
Prosecutors tried to block this line of questioning, but Jane continued her explanation.
Geragos kept a friendly tone during much of the questioning. Before the trial, Jane had willingly met with the defense team several times. Geragos aims to challenge the government’s claim that Jane was sex trafficked by showing she had some control in her relationship with Combs.
He presented many text messages between Jane and Combs, including one where Jane said she enjoyed exploring her sexuality with one of the escorts. Geragos also highlighted moments showing the caring side of their relationship. He pointed out Jane’s statements about liking to take care of Combs, rubbing his feet, and watching “Dateline” with him after their “freak-offs.”
Jane also praised one escort named Paul, saying they had “chemistry” and that he brought “warm energy.” At times, the three called themselves “the trifecta,” using basketball nicknames Kobe Bryant, Shaq, and Michael Jordan.
During her direct examination, Jane testified that she told Combs many times she did not want to have sex with other men, but he ignored her concerns. In a text from September 2023, Jane wrote she felt “obligated” to perform for Combs because she feared losing her home. Combs pays her rent in Los Angeles and continues to cover her legal fees, even as she testifies against him.
Jane said in another text, “I don’t want to be used and locked in a room to perform and fulfill your fantasies. I’m coming to the realization of what this really is.” She added that about 90% of her time with Combs involved sex with other men. “My heart is really in this and it’s breaking. I don’t want to play this role in your life anymore.”
In a further message, Jane wrote, “I’m not a porn star. I’m not an animal. It’s been three years of me having to fuck strangers. I’m tired.”
Jane’s cross-examination is set to continue Wednesday. Combs pleads not guilty to sex trafficking and racketeering charges. If convicted, he faces the possibility of life in prison.
