TAIPEI – International model and actress Lin Chi-Ling is stepping into the world of film and television funding with the launch of a new award at the 2025 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF).
The Chi-Ling’s Future Makers Award will offer TWD500,000 (approx. $16,500) each to three original works across feature film, animation, and documentary categories. The total prize fund amounts to TWD1.5 million (approx. $49,500).
Focused on women’s stories, the award aims to spotlight content that explores female experiences and perspectives. Organizers say the initiative encourages creators “to share love and hope with the world through a tender lens.”
Now in its sixth year, TCCF is organized by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) and will take place from Nov. 4 to 7, 2025, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The event has grown rapidly, with increased participation from international sponsors, making it a major hub for Asian content development and co-production.
Alongside Lin’s award, Asian Pacific nonprofit Gold House will also present a dedicated award for the first time. France’s Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC) will return with a $30,000 prize and support for a selected project’s entry into the European market.
France’s SCELF (Société Civile des Editeurs de Langue Française) will continue its collaboration with TCCF through the “Shoot the Book! TCCF” session. The initiative aims to promote story adaptation opportunities and strengthen ties between Taiwanese and French content creators.
The 2025 TCCF pitching program will feature an expanded lineup. Feature film selections will increase from 12 to 20, while general series entries remain at 10. A new special theme, If Romance Comes Again, will spotlight innovative romance stories. The “Story” category will also grow from 20 to 38 projects to meet rising demand for original content across Asia.
“TCCF has become a key platform for global industry players to discover Mandarin-language and Asian content,” said TAICCA Chair Homme Tsai.
Further supporting the event, Taiwan Mobile has signed an MOU with TAICCA to provide selected teams with access to its Commercial Content Creation Talent Program. The agreement includes two years of training and over TWD3 million ($100,000) in financial support.
In 2024, the event drew 600 submissions from 50 countries and featured mentors such as Shogun producer Miyagawa Eriko.
Submissions for the 2025 TCCF pitching program are open through July 11. Early bird discounts are available until June 15.
