Travis Kelce’s public relations team is speaking out after a false document claiming to outline the media strategy for a breakup between him and Taylor Swift appeared online.
The PR contract, which circulated on social media, has been labeled a fabrication by Kelce’s team.
Full Scope, the company that handles PR for Kelce, released a statement to PEOPLE confirming that the document titled “Comprehensive Media Plan for Travis Kelce’s Relations Following Breakup with Taylor Swift” is entirely fake.
“These documents are completely false, fabricated, and were not created, issued, or authorized by this agency,” Full Scope said in their statement.
The original Reddit post that spread the document has since been deleted. Full Scope has taken action, engaging with the online platform’s legal team to pursue those behind the forged materials. They are moving forward with legal proceedings to hold individuals or entities responsible for the forgery accountable.
Some fans have speculated that the fake document may have been part of a school project by an overzealous fan. Full Scope’s logo, used in the document, is easily accessible online, fueling the theory that it was amateur work.
Despite the rumors, Kelce recently spoke positively about Swift during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show on September 3. He joked about Swift showing interest in his football career and even helping him come up with plays.
“She’s been so open to learning about the game,” Kelce shared. “She didn’t know much about the rules at first, but she’s curious about the profession. None of her plays have made it to Coach [Andy] Reid yet, but if they do, I’ll make sure everyone knows they were her ideas.”
He added, “She’s a little biased and just creates plays for me. We’ll see if any of them ever reach Coach Reid’s office.”
Rumors about Kelce and Swift’s relationship began in July 2023 when Kelce admitted that he tried and failed to meet her after her concert at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift later attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game in late September 2023, and by October, the couple confirmed their romance when they were spotted holding hands at a Saturday Night Live afterparty.
