LOS ANGELES — Bleecker Street has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Bone Lake, a darkly comedic survival thriller from director Mercedes Bryce Morgan. The film is set to hit theaters on October 10.
Premiering at Fantastic Fest in 2024, Bone Lake follows a couple whose lakeside retreat turns sinister after they are forced to share their remote estate with another mysterious pair. What begins as a romantic getaway spirals into a violent, twisted battle involving manipulation, secrets, and survival.
The cast includes Marco Pigossi (Gen V), Maddie Hasson (Elevation), Alex Roe (The 5th Wave), and Andra Nechita (The Sex Lives of College Girls).
The film is produced by Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, and Jacob Yakob for LD Entertainment, alongside Joshua Friedlander and Jason Blumenfeld. Executive producers include Mehrdod Heydari, Joseph Yakob, and Alex Roe.
Mister Smith Entertainment will handle international sales, launching at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. The U.S. distribution deal was negotiated by Bleecker Street’s Avy Eschenasy and Miranda King, with Michael Glassman and UTA Independent Film Group representing the filmmakers.
Bone Lake marks another collaboration between Bleecker Street and LD Entertainment, following previous joint efforts on I.S.S. and Teen Spirit. Upcoming titles from Bleecker Street include Spinal Tap II: The End Continues and Max Walker-Silverman’s Rebuilding, starring Josh O’Connor.
