Singer-songwriter RaeLynn is coming full circle with her return to Valory Music Co., the label that first launched her into country stardom following her breakout appearance on The Voice. Now signed under Valory in collaboration with Red Van Records/Jonas Group Entertainment via Big Machine Label Group, RaeLynn is set to release her first single under the new deal, “Heaven Is a Honky Tonk,” on Friday, May 9.
Best known for her platinum-certified 2014 hit “God Made Girls” and her chart-topping 2017 album WildHorse, RaeLynn is reuniting with the label family that helped her carve out her distinctive space in country music.
“I’ve been intrigued by RaeLynn since the very first time I saw her on The Voice,” said Big Machine Label Group chairman-CEO Scott Borchetta. “It’s now come full circle as her energy is infectious, her determination unwavering, and she’s brought us the absolute best music of her career. Welcome home, Rae!”
RaeLynn echoed the sentiment, expressing her excitement for this new chapter. “Having both Scott Borchetta and Kevin Jonas Sr. covering all corners of my career is a dream come true! Kicking things off with ‘Heaven Is A Honky Tonk’ makes it even sweeter; it’s bold, it’s country, and it’s 100% me.”
The new track, co-written by RaeLynn alongside Lauren Hungate and Caroline Watkins, also marks a creative milestone for the singer: her debut as a co-producer. She teamed up with Aaron Gillespie—best known as the drummer for the metal band Underoath—for the production, hinting at an intriguing blend of traditional country flair with RaeLynn’s signature edge.
“Heaven Is a Honky Tonk” signals not just a return, but a reinvention for RaeLynn—rooted in her past, but fueled by fearless new vision.
