Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is riding high on the success of her recent film Stree 2, took to social media to wish her father, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, a very happy birthday. The actress shared a sweet picture with her “Baapu” and used a famous dialogue from Stree to express her love and admiration for him.
On Sunday, September 3, 2024, Shraddha posted a lovely photo with her father on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “Aaj mere pasandida purush ka janam din hai (Today is my favorite man’s birthday)! Happy Birthday Baapu (father) @shaktikapoor.”
Shraddha then used a popular catchphrase from the horror comedy Stree, in which she reprised her role as the mysterious girl. She wrote, “Woh stree hai, woh kuch bhi kar sakti hai kyunki uske papa ka haath har dum uske sar par hai (She is a woman, she can do anything because her father is always there to support her). Love you Baapu.”
The heartwarming post was flooded with birthday wishes for Shakti Kapoor from fans and celebrities alike. Varun Dhawan, who had a cameo appearance as Bhediya in Stree 2, also reacted to the post, commenting, “Shaksssss looking fresh.” Shraddha replied to Varun’s comment, saying, “he a bigsteppa trendsetta,” delighting their fans, who call themselves “VarShra.”
Karisma Kapoor also wished Shakti Kapoor on his birthday, writing, “Happy birthday Shakti ji.” Fans left amusing comments, with one person saying, “@shaktikapoor sir ke sath stree ki shakti bhi double ho jati hai,” (With Shakti Kapoor sir, the power of a woman also doubles) and another stating, “Proud Father and a proud daughter.”
