His early days were marred by a serious car accident involving a street racing truck he purchased with his label advance. The crash left him in a coma for several days with a fractured skull, coinciding with the growing popularity of his initial singles, including “Ojitos De Miel” and “Amigos Con Derecho.”
Now, Xavi is ready to showcase his talent through a 15-track album that blends clever songwriting with rich guitar melodies. “Next” builds on the success of last year’s viral hits like “La Víctima” and “La Diabla,” which helped him secure a spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
Collaborations on the album include tracks like “Poco a Poco” featuring Dareyes De La Sierra and “Modo DND” with Tony Aguirre. Notably, his brother Fabio Capri joins him on the emotionally charged track “Tu Casi Algo,” which combines pop-rock elements with deeper lyrical themes.
The album art presents a playful battle between good and evil, reflecting its thematic contrasts. Produced by notable figures in trap corrido, such as Danny Felix and Ernesto Fernandez, the album begins energetically but transitions to slower tempos, particularly in “La Diosa,” where Xavi expresses his deep infatuation through softer vocals.

He is willing to explore new sounds and styles, similar to Peso Pluma’s ambitious double album “Éxodo,” which mixes rap, reggaeton, and corridos. Xavi’s unique vocal delivery and innovative instrumentation contribute to this fresh approach.
While many songs revolve around themes of heartbreak and nightlife, Xavi infuses his lyrics with optimism. In “Si Mañana Me Voy” (“If Tomorrow I’m Gone”), he sings about seizing the moment: “I don’t look down, only up when the sun rises / I go higher / I enjoy the moment / because I don’t know if I’ll be gone tomorrow.”
