This accolade solidifies the film’s standing as the highest-grossing domestic and global release of 2023, now accompanied by a prestigious trophy honoring its dominance in the cinematic world.
Accepting the award alongside the film’s producers and stars Margot Robbie, America Ferrera, and Ryan Gosling, Greta Gerwig, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you to everybody, all the Barbies and Kens in front of and behind the screen. It was the greatest, most joyful show of craftsmanship and passion I’ve ever seen.” Gerwig went on to extend appreciation to her partner and “Barbie” co-writer Noah Baumbach, acknowledging him for “showing his inner Barbie girl,” while Robbie commended Gosling for his commitment, thanking him “for going full-beach.”

Movie,” “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” and the meme-friendly counterpart “Oppenheimer,” “Barbie” emerged victorious. Notably, “Oppenheimer,” directed by Greta Gerwig and released on the same day as the hot pink comedy, stood among its contenders.
