Maybe like an inch or two at best.” He then addressed the frequent questions they receive, saying, “People ask, ‘How did you guys kiss? It must have been so difficult.’”
Shaw pointed out that her question aimed to highlight the “misogynistic” expectations placed on couples. Batalon agreed, saying that it’s not unusual for women to be taller, while Holland firmly labeled the entire conversation as “ridiculous.”
For Zendaya, height has never been an issue. She explained that her own mother is taller than her father, so the idea of a height difference in a relationship has always been normal to her. Standing at 5’10”, she is only two inches taller than Holland, who is 5’8”.

During the discussion, Holland shared that every actress who auditioned for the role of MJ was taller than him. He speculated that this might have been intentional on the part of the film’s director, Jon Watts, as a way to challenge stereotypes.
